On Wednesday, Netflix announced that it will let users download videos and watch them even if your device isn’t connected to the internet.
Netflix’s full library won’t be available for offline viewing. The full list of compatible shows has yet to be released, but it appears that most Netlix originals such as “Narcos” and “Stranger Things” should be available. The “available for download” section does appear to include a variety of licensed shows and movies including popular titles such as “Parks and Recreation” and “Mad Men”.
Netflix downloads work on iOS and Android devices. You’ll need to update your Netflix app to the latest version, which launches Wednesday. A download button will appear next to the videos you can store for offline viewing.
