Telecom companies in Lagos will begin a major cleanup exercise on Monday, May 12, 2026.
The pilot scheme, initiated by LASIMRA and supported by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), will start at Emina Crescent Junction on Toyin Street.
Internet Service Providers, Mobile Network Operators, and Cable Infrastructure Companies are expected to arrive at the location by 9:00 a.m.

Segun Okuneye, chairman of the Clean-Up Committee of the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), urged all technical staff taking part to wear proper safety gear and follow all safety rules during the operation.
The exercise aims to promote a cleaner environment, improve public safety, and ensure orderly deployment of telecommunications infrastructure across Lagos State.

Telecom operators say they remain committed to keeping Lagos neat and supporting efforts for a cleaner, safer, and better-organized city.
