Multichoice’s DStv and GOtv have increased the prices of their packages. This price increase is the first for the year and the fourth in two years.

Here are DStv and GOtv’s new prices

From the 1st of March 2025, DStv Premium will now cost N44,500, from N37,000. Similarly, the DStv Compact has moved from N25,000 to N30,000. The Compact package will now cost N19,000 from N15,700, with the Confam package costing N11,000 and the Padi package for N4,400.

Similarly, For GOtv, its Supa+ packages are now worth N16,800 against N15,700; the Supa package has increased to N11,400 from N9,600; and Max subscribers will now pay N8,500 from N7,200. The Jolli, Jinja and Smalli packages cost N5,800, N3,900 and N1,900 respectively.

Nigerians have complained, citing the all-round hike in prices of subscriptions.

“MTN has done theirs, now MultiChoice. It is well,” said a user.

“It’s always easy for them to increase the price anyhow cos there’s no real competition, that’s what monopoly does to the consumers,” said a netizen after the announcement of the increase.

Another subscriber said, “I haven’t subscribed for TV bundles in over a year and at this point, it may remain like that.”
