e.Stream network internet service providers has announced its partnership with Bitflux communications, a wholesale wireless access broadband service provider and winner of the 2.3GHz spectrum, auctioned in 2014, to be its  fourth generation long term evolution (4G LTE)carrier across Nigeria.

LTE is a 4G wireless communications standard developed by the third generation partnership project (3GPP) designed to provide up to ten times the speeds of third generation (3G) networks for mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, notebooks and wireless hotspots.

4G technologies are designed to provide IP-based voice, data and multimedia streaming at speeds of at least 100 megabytes per second (Mbps) and up to as fast as 1Gigabyte per second (Gbps).

Announcing the partnership in a release made available to the press on Monday, Muyiwa Ogungboye,  managing director of e.Stream Networks, said that in line with the company’s objective of providing the right service and deployment of the right technology, it has entered into the partnership to further expand broadband penetration in the country.

This partnership is indeed great news for Internet providers in Lagos particularly, which is the first location to experience the e.Stream 4G LTE technology.

“As an ISO9001 Quality Certified company, e.Stream is a licensed wireless Internet provider dedicated to providing high speed Internet services for businesses using a variety of up-to-date technologies. We ensure that our customers’ business communication needs are achieved from a broad range of end-to-end efficient and reliable IP based (data and voice communications) services. With over 10 years in the ICT sector and presence all over Nigeria, we take pride in being recognized as a leading high speed Internet provider,” Ogungboye said.

According to him, the company’s vision is to be the best internet provider of choice and that is why “we have partnered with Bitflux to ensure the actualisation of this objective and vision in the retail arm of our business especially as we have been in the corporate market for over 10 years now. We pride ourselves as the virtual private network that is more than ready to give the right service based on customer demands.

“With 4G LTE, customers will now be able to stream music and videos, upload, download and essentially do anything on the web easily. Our 4G LTE is not just focused on improving download speed, but has been designed to improve upload speed too. Wireless internet providers should always consider its subscribers’ needs, to make sure they have a pleasurable browsing experience,” he added.

The 4G LTE technology faster upload and download speed will give application developers more options for creating better user experiences on mobile for gaming, banking, socialising, shopping, watching videos and more via the web or applications.

This strategic alliance is said to afford customers the opportunity of enjoying firsthand experience of the 4G LTE technology at deployment. The two companies are also promising to provide the most affordable price in the market, using its range of high speed Wi-Fi and Mi-Fi 4G LTE devices.

Currently, e.Stream Network’s 4G LTE services are available in some parts of Lagos including Lagos Island, Victoria Island and Ikoyi.
