Cisco, Siemon introduce new intelligent solutions for real estate

As the real estate market drives towards infrastructure transformation, Cisco in collaboration with Siemon is offering stakeholders digital and cabling solutions as key influencers of the market, a better network platform on how today’s building systems can be more efficient.

In a partnership meeting held at the Cisco head office in Lagos recently, the companies introduced a ‘ConvergedIT’ as a holistic approach for building installations.

The network as a converged network according to a Cisco representative enables the sharing of information among different systems in a building environment.

IP network solves the problem of interconnection and interoperation of building systems as real estate market shift towards digital transformation.

“The network is designed to solve the problem of cost reduction and complexity and Cisco as a global leader in IT solutions and networking is widely known to be acquainted with proffering digital solutions to buildings”, said Olakunle Oloruntimehin, General Manager Cisco Nigeria Ltd.

Oloruntimehin said the vision of the company is to leverage core technology assets and install base to provide a set of infra-solution and cloud applications to help customers deliver next-generation building and workspace environments, with a focus on improved experience including meeting room experience and improved building operation efficiency, better visibility of space planning, and building asset management.

“That is why we have decided to partner with Siemon in providing a smart and connected building solutions to all our stakeholders”, he said

Speaking further, Oloruntimehin said the IP network is of benefit to all stakeholders in the design, construction, and real estate industries as well as the occupants of the built infrastructure.

Jide Olagbenro, regional account manager, West Africa, Siemon Company said; “Siemon ConvergedIT provides intelligent building (IB) cabling solutions for intelligent buildings that support the convergence of low-voltage systems.

Siemons says it sees Cisco as the best company to partner with, and “as a partner, we coming with both means; that is hardware and software, Olagbenro said.

Real estate stakeholders are a beacon on to be beneficiaries of this innovative technology as they become a part of the digital transformation of buildings in Nigeria.
