Bolt introduces scheduled rides to ease riders’ booking stress

Bolt eyes fee hike in Lagos on soaring petrol costs

Bolt, a ride-hailing platform in Africa, has announced the launch of scheduled rides, a new feature aimed at providing passengers with unparalleled convenience and peace of mind during their daily commutes and special events.

According to the company, to schedule ahead of time on the Bolt app the user will have to fill in their destination, then select the option ‘Schedule Ride’ and choose their desired pickup date and time.

This innovative feature allows users to book a ride up to 72 hours in advance, ensuring a seamless travel experience without the last-minute stress of finding a ride.

The new feature will also be valuable for business customers; who will use Ride Booker on their Bolt Business account to reserve rides for work-related trips or book the same for their business guests.

“As a business, we value our consumers’ feedback, and as such we are happy to introduce the Scheduled Rides feature, marking yet another milestone in our commitment to enhancing the overall passenger experience. This reflects our dedication to providing our users with maximum convenience and reliability,” said Yahaya Mohammed, Country Manager.

One of the key benefits of this feature entails that passengers can effortlessly schedule their rides up to 3 days ahead of time, allowing them to plan their journeys and focus on other important tasks.

Also, surge pricing will be eliminated giving passengers peace of mind with transparent and predictable fares.

Other benefits include guaranteed availability, flexibility and customisation, and punctuality.
