AppZone, provider of home-grown software solutions for the financial services industry has added Gambia’s biggest financial services institution, Reliance Financial Services to its growing list of clients on its BankOne fintech platform.

BankOne is a cloud-based suite of pay-per-use software solutions that automate core operations of retail financial institutions and enable delivery of services via electronic and other alternative banking channels.

With over 19 branches in Gambia, Reliance  Financial Services has now the list of happy customers on BankOne to enable them achieve their goal to provide financial services products and services to the average Gambian especially those at the bottom of the economic pyramid. This is coming shortly after six micro finance institutions in Ghana signed up to BankOne.

The bank completed the project initiation engagements and commenced full migration in September 2017.

While announcing this development at Appzone’s corporate head office in Lagos, Emmanuel Odeniya, Client Relationship Manager BankOne said;

“We are pleased to see that the international community appreciates our work and we will continue to deploy this great product of ours until we are represented in every African country and have thereby enabled the much needed transformation in Africa’s budding Informal sector.”

Odeniya explained that; “the partnership with Reliance Financial Services represents a bold step in our Africa wide expansion plan, complimenting the recent penetration into Tanzania and Ghana.”

Baboucarr Khan Managing Director, Reliance Financial Services talking about the new partnership said; “BankOne stood out to us amongst other core banking applications because of its winning partnership value proposition”.

Explaining further, he said; “BankOne is more than just banking software in view of the in-built avenues for new business growth opportunities to innovate around existing and/or introduce new products and services for MFB’s across markets, sectors and channels.

BankOne’s integrated core banking and e-channel software platform will help Reliance Financial Services with the automation of their core operations and enable delivery of their services via electronic and other alternative banking channels.

The company says it is designed to achieve end-to-end automation of Financial institution operations while exposing core services to end customers through multiple alternative channels nationwide including ATM’s, POS terminals, Internet, Mobile phones , Commercial Bank Branches and independent agents.
