Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie has been listed in the Premier League Team of the Week.

The Italy-born Nigerian defender developed in the Hellas Verona youth system was impressive for the North London side in their 2-0 win away to Bournemouth.

The Team of the Week was compiled by legendary England striker Alan Shearer and published on the Premier League X handle (formerly Twitter).

The 20-year-old left-back marked his performance with an assist for Spurs’ second goal in the encounter by Dejan Kulusevski.

The game against Bournemouth was Udogie’s third for Spurs who are third on the log.

On 3 September 2021 Udogie made his debut with the Italy U21 squad, playing as a starter in the qualifying game against Luxembourg, which they won 3–0.

Udogie made his Serie A debut on 8 November 2020, in a 2–2 draw away to Milan.
