Salisu Yusuf is yet to sign a contract as Super Eagles chief coach even after top officials ordered him to be in Abuja this week to do so.
An official revealed: “Salisu still has not signed a contract even after he was ordered to come into Abuja and do so.
“The official in charge of the contract was again out of the country and so the coach has had to return to Kano.
“He will now possibly sign his contract before the World Cup qualifier in Zambia next month.”
This will be the second time the former Enyimba and Kano Pillars coach has failed to sign a new contract as scheduled.
The absence of top officials also scuttled his signing a contract last month soon after he led the NPFL All-Stars playing tour of Spain.
Head coach Gernot Rohr has since signed his own contract, which pays him $47,000 a month to be funded by a mystery sponsor.
