According to reports in Italy, Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who travelled to Nigeria to continue his recovery from the injury he suffered during Super Eagle’s 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia in a friendly, is expected to be back in Italy on Friday, November 3.
The Nigerian international has missed Napoli’s last three matches as he continues his rehabilitation from a hamstring muscle injury he picked up on October 13.
According to Italian media Area Napoli, the 24-year-old striker was granted permission by Napoli to travel to Nigeria to continue his recovery process and sort out some personal issues.
“Victor Osimhen is in Nigeria with permission duly granted by SSC Napoli also considering the fact that he is injured,” as quoted by Area Napoli.
“He has been out of action since mid-October due to a medium-grade injury to his hamstring. The recovery is progressing, there are quite serious problems with his brother-in-law and former agent and his sister.

“Napoli gave him a physiotherapy programme, the day of his return to Italy should be by this Friday.”
The Serie A champions hope Osimhen will be back in time for a crucial clash against Atalanta on November 25.
Napoli are fifth in the Serie A standings with 18 points after 10 matches, seven points behind leaders Inter Milan and one point behind fourth-placed Atalanta.
The 24-year-old Napoli star was in impressive form for Parthenopeans last season where he helped the team clinch the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years.
His performances also earned him a nomination for the Ballon d’Or, where he finished 8th, becoming the first Nigerian to make the top 10 of the Ballon d’Or voting.
Osimhen bagged an incredible 31 goals in 39 matches across all competitions for Napoli last season and has continued his fantastic scoring record this campaign, as he has already netted six goals in 10 matches.
