Globacom, Nigeria’s National carrier has restated its commitment to the development of the game of football in Nigeria at all levels.
Globacom’s Coordinator, Marketing, Mr Niyi Olukoya made this remark in Lagos when Globacom and the League Management Company jointly unveiled the logo of the Nigerian Professional Football League.
The Nigeria Professional Football League was also renamed Glo Premier League, thus signalling a new era in football sponsorship in Nigeria.

Olukoya stated that Glo had sponsored the league continuously from 2003 to 2009/2010 seasons, adding that the company “is proud to be back as league title sponsor ’’.
He stated that Globacom looks forward to working with the Honourable Nduka Irabor led League Management Company to make the Glo Premier League the number one on the continent of Africa.
Olukoya also acknowledged the efforts of the LMC in ensuring the smooth running of the league and called for more support for the management team in their efforts towards restoring the league to its rightful status among other leagues on the continent
“The unveiling of Glo Premier League logo today signals a new era of progress and total commitment to the development of football in Nigeria”, he added
