Napoli are preparing an improved offer for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, as reported by Corriere dello Sport, but the Serie A champions are in a race against time to secure a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who joined PSG on Friday.
The talented Argentine winger has emerged as Antonio Conte’s top target to fill the void left by Kvaratskhelia’s departure. Napoli previously saw their €40m bid, including add-ons, rejected by Manchester United but are now readying an increased proposal worth €50m.
While the Partenopei have reportedly made significant progress in negotiations with Garnacho’s entourage, Corriere dello Sport notes that Manchester United are holding firm on their €80m valuation of the 19-year-old.
In case a deal for Garnacho fails to materialize, Napoli are considering alternative options, including Deportivo La Coruña’s 22-year-old winger Yeremay Hernández. The Spanish winger, who has impressed with his performances, has a €20m release clause in his contract.
The report emphasizes that Napoli are operating under a time constraint and will pivot to other targets swiftly if United remain unwilling to negotiate.
With the January transfer window fast approaching, Napoli’s urgency underscores their determination to bolster their squad as they aim to retain their Serie A crown and compete on multiple fronts.
