Manchester United are reportedly preparing a blockbuster swap deal, offering €40 million plus striker Rasmus Hojlund to sign Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 13-time Premier League champions are among several clubs keen on signing the Nigerian forward, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray but will return to Napoli at the end of the season. Osimhen has a €75 million release clause, and United are exploring ways to land him without paying the full amount.

According to Calciomercato, Napoli had previously attempted to sign Alejandro Garnacho during the winter transfer window.

However, United are now prepared to offer Hojlund and £33 million (€40m) as part of a deal for Osimhen. Napoli initially sought to offload the 26-year-old last summer after signing Romelu Lukaku, but eventually arranged a loan move to Galatasaray.

Osimhen has been in stellar form this season, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in 19 Süper Lig appearances. He has also netted six times in the UEFA Europa League, bringing his total to 20 goals and five assists in 26 matches across all competitions.

In contrast, Danish forward Hojlund has struggled at United, managing just seven goals and one assist in 34 appearances this season.

United were previously linked with Osimhen in January, as reported by Repubblica, but the striker opted to see out his loan spell at Galatasaray. Chelsea and Arsenal have also shown interest in the Nigerian star, whose future remains uncertain.
