French Ligue 1 club Lille have reportedly rejected a €60 million bid from Arsenal for highly-rated Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, with the French side holding out for at least €70 million amid growing interest from Europe’s elite clubs.

According to reports from Africafoot, Arsenal identified the 18-year-old as one of their priority targets ahead of the summer transfer window and moved swiftly with a substantial offer after being impressed by his rapid development and performances for Lille.

However, Lille are unwilling to part with one of their brightest prospects for that fee and believe Bouaddi’s value will continue to rise in the coming years.

Arsenal scouts have reportedly monitored the teenager closely over recent months, with the club convinced that his composure on the ball, technical quality and immense potential could make him a key figure in their midfield for years to come.

European Giants Join Transfer Race

The rejection represents a setback for Arsenal as competition for Bouaddi’s signature intensifies.
Several European heavyweights, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, are also tracking the Moroccan international ahead of a possible move this summer.

Bouaddi’s stock has risen significantly following an impressive campaign with Lille and his decision to commit his international future to Morocco, making him one of the most sought-after young midfielders in European football.

Bouaddi Among Morocco’s Most Valuable Stars

According to Transfermarkt, Bouaddi is currently valued at €50 million, making him one of Morocco’s most valuable players.

Only Moroccan captain and Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi, valued at €80 million, is rated higher, while Real Madrid playmaker Brahim Díaz is valued at €35 million.

Arsenal Face Tough Negotiations

Despite Lille’s rejection of their opening offer, Arsenal remain interested in securing the midfielder’s services.

However, the North London club may need to significantly improve their bid if they hope to convince Lille to sell one of the game’s most exciting young talents.

With Europe’s biggest clubs circling, Bouaddi is expected to be one of the most closely watched names in the summer transfer market.
