The on-going Lagos International Polo Tournament which is billed to come to a close on Sunday will come alive tomorrow with major Nigerian artists set to thrill after the day’s matches.
The final leg of the prestigious Polo tournament will feature twelve high and low goal teams that would do battle over four days in their quest to win the Majekodunmi Cup and Logos Low Cup respectively.
In the first match of the day on Friday Lagos HST will play against Kano Susplan/Titans, while the second match will see Kano Aitek taking on Ibadan Team 2A. The third match will be between Kano Titans and Laos Auden/Delaney competing for Independence Cup
On Saturday Kano Keffi Ponies will play against Lagos Ironclad/Fifth Chukker will vie for the Italian Ambassadors Cup. Other trophies to be carted away on that same Saturday are Beginners Cup, Governor Cup and Majekodunmi Cup
One of the major co-sponsors of the tourney, MTN will also on Saturday showcase the best of Nigerian entertainers by unleashing its high-profile brand ambassadors at the Ribadu Road venue of the event.
KCee and Harrysong, who will be performing have made headways not only on the traditional music disseminating mediums but also created a niche in the digital music industry. KCee got over a million downloads less than two week before his album launch for “Pull-over” while Harrysong got millions of downloads for his song “Tribute to Mandela”.
Wizkid, a crowd pleaser any day will be on hand to excite the massive polo enthusiast that will throng the venue to watch the “Holla At Your Boy” crooner will be at his best to deliver fresh hit tracks that are currently making waves within and outside the country.
The event will start from six in the evening with the MTN brand ambassadors doing what they do best, entertain.
The first weekend of the tournament ended with the elegant Yemi Alade, dishing out some of her head-bobbing songs that got the guests and bluebloods dancing all night.
