TomTom, the Official Candy of the Nigerian National Teams, has received a pat on the back for being the brain behind a very viable platform that provides opportunity for the coach of the national team to rub minds with senior sports editors and administrators on how to develop the game and make the team excel at all times.

These accolades came from no less football personalities than the Super Eagles Chief Coach, Stephen Keshi, Segun Odegbami, former Green Eagles Captain, Augstine Eguavoen, also former national team captain and former coach of the Super Eagles, and Henry Nwosu (MON), Nigeria’s ex-international.

At the 5th TomTom Editors’ Roundtable on Tuesday in Lagos, Keshi said “It is appropriate to thank TomTom for all it has been doing for Nigerian football. Its effort has been a great motivation for us. It has great vision for the country’s football through its initiatives. If we have many brands like TomTom behind us, our football will keep moving forward and we will continue to make Nigerians proud.”

Odegbami on his part commended the brand for the initiative which would immensely contribute to the development of the game as senior media men who report the game would offer the coach an informed analysis of his team all in a bid to help him succeed. He also eulogized Keshi on his achievement so far as the Chief Coach of the country’s senior national team.

“I will like to thank Stephen Keshi for living up to the expectations of many Nigerians. He has been the most successful coach in the history of Nigeria. His only rival is his friend and mentor, Clemence Westerhof,” Odegbami said.

Keshi, fondly referred to as the Big Boss, also expressed appreciation to the Nigerian media for the support he has enjoyed since he became the Chief Coach of the Super Eagles.

“In the beginning, it was a bit rough but now, I think we are all on the same page. We should be on the same page for the sake of Nigeria and the Super Eagles, and not for me. I am an individual. Let us stay together and be united because it is by being united that we can achieve success,” Keshi maintained.
