Former Flying Eagles skipper, Isaac Promise, has died at age of 31, according to a statement by his club, Austin Bold FC.

Isaac captained Nigeria to the 2003 FIFA U17 World Cup held in Finland, as well as the 2005 FIFA U20 World Cup in the Netherlands where the Flying Eagles were runners-up to Argentina.

Isaac also won a silver medal in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing with the Nigerian U-23 team, again serving as captain in four matches, including the gold medal match.
