Tickets for matches across the United States, Mexico and Canada will be available via FIFA’s official website on a first-come, first-served basis from 1500 GMT, the governing body announced.

“Additional tickets will continue to be released to the public on an ongoing basis up until the final on Sunday, July 19, subject to availability,” FIFA said in a statement.

The latest release follows confirmation from FIFA President Gianni Infantino that over five million tickets have already been sold, surpassing the previous World Cup record of 3.5 million set during the 1994 tournament in the United States.

With an estimated total of around seven million tickets available across 16 host stadiums, the 2026 edition is on course to become the most attended World Cup in history.

However, FIFA has faced criticism over high ticket prices, with premium seats for the final reportedly exceeding $10,000, excluding resale markets.

Organisers have defended the pricing model, citing overwhelming demand and the use of dynamic pricing for high-profile fixtures.

Despite reports suggesting slower sales for the United States’ opening match against Paraguay in Los Angeles, FIFA maintains that demand remains strong across all fixtures.
