Former Super Eagles goalkeeper and captain Vincent Enyeama is delighted after his son, Godswill Enyeama signed his first professional contract with Lille’s U18 team.
Enyeama, who had a standout career at Lille, first joined the club in July 2011 from Israel. Now, his son Godswill is following in his footsteps as a goalkeeper for Lille U18.
Enyeama announced the news on his Facebook page: “God is the greatest. Home sweet home. Back home in a different skin #losc #prouddaddy❤️ #younggoalie #youngcoach #newadventure @losclive.”
The former Enyimba goalkeeper enjoyed a remarkable spell with Lille, especially during the 2013/2014 season when coach René Girard handed him the No. 1 shirt.
During his seven years at Lille, Enyeama made 143 league appearances, kept 61 clean sheets and conceded 132 goals.
Like his father, young Enyeama aims to follow in his father’s footsteps, with aspirations of playing for Lille’s first team.
