DStv, SuperSport to air 2017 AFCON, Copa America games

Football actions continue this weekend on DStv, as SuperSport television channel is set to televise live matches of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification matches and the Copa America, the biggest South American championship.

Fans are in for a frenzy moments as Lionel Messi, Suarez, Alexis Sanchez and Neymar, top South American strikers compete with each other for the prestigious trophy.

Martins Mabutho, general manager and marketing, MultiChoice Nigeria, disclosed this in a media parley in Lagos.

Mabutho said: “Football fans in Nigeria are excited about the impending Copa America tournament.”

He added that Copa America games will be aired live on High Definition (HD) for Premium and Compact Plus bouquets for DStv subscribers only.

“Both DStv and Gotv subscribers will enjoy live telecasts of matches of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.”

Mabutho, who spoke to a section of the sports journalist in company with the SuperSport general manager, west Africa, Felix Awogu, enjoined Nigerian subscribers to take advantage of an imminent 50% price slash of DStv Explora promotion to up­grade to the Explora and watch their various programmes in a new viewing experience.

The Copa America kicked off on the 11th June to 4th July 2015 in Chile.
