According to reports in Turkish media, Barcelona have identified Victor Osimhen as a long-term successor to Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.
Lewandowski, the 37-year-old forward, is approaching the final phase of his contract, and the Catalan giants have reportedly placed the Galatasaray goal poacher high on their summer shortlist.

Barcelona sporting director Deco and manager Hansi Flick are said to be scouring the market for a high-intensity No. 9 capable of leading the line for years to come.
According to a recent report by The Athletic, while Julián Álvarez remains the club’s “dream” target, the Nigerian striker currently lighting up the Turkish Süper Lig has emerged as a strong alternative.
Since completing a shock €75 million permanent move to Galatasaray last summer following his exit from SSC Napoli, Osimhen has quickly silenced doubts about his career trajectory.
The Nigerian international has been in sensational form in Istanbul, cementing his status as one of the standout performers in Turkish football.
The striker has so far scored 17 goals and provided six assists in 25 appearances across all competitions. In the UEFA Champions League, he has also impressed with seven goals in just eight matches.
However, Barcelona could face a significant financial challenge in securing his signature.
Osimhen’s contract with Galatasaray runs until June 2029, and his valuation has reportedly surged since completing his €75 million move last summer, potentially making any deal a complex tactical and financial undertaking for the Catalan club.
