AFCON: Angola players get dollars, land, iPhone motivation to defeat Nigeria

Each member of the Angola squad has been promised incentives worth thousands of dollars, lands, iPhone and gift items to knockout Nigeria’s Super Eagles in their quarter-finals clash of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Super Eagles will face Angola at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, on Friday, February 2, 2024.

The Palancas Negras thrashed Namibia 3-0 in the Round of 16 to qualify.

The oil-rich nation is the lowest-ranked team (117th) left at AFCON 2023 and is now seeking to qualify for their first-ever semi-final of the tournament.

According to Our African Football Instagram Video, the players have been promised thousands of dollars in incentive to defeat three-time Africa champions, Super Eagle to reach the first semi-final of the AFCON for the first time in their history.

Here is the list of incentives promised to Angola players to ensure they defeat Nigeria in today’s semi-final match with Super Eagles.

. A local bank in Angola has also promised each player $9,000

. The country’s biggest telecom company has pledged to give each member of the squad a free iPhone 15 with free data, SMS, and calls for one year.

. One of the biggest mining companies in Angola has also promised Pedro Soares Gonçalves team $250,000.

. Each player has been promised one piece of land in Viana by the Viana Municipal Administration.

. Naice Zulu, a popular rapper in Angola who owns a cosmetics store, has promised to give each player free perfumes for one year.

About 440 fans are being sponsored to Ivory Coast by the country’s airline company to ensure maximum support for the team.
