Meet Cardtonic’s New CEO — Emmanuel Sohe

On Wednesday, 15th January 2025, The Tonic Technologies announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer in the person of Emmanuel Sohe.

The Tonic Technologies (TTT) is the company under which Cardtonic operates. Cardtonic is a trailblazer fintech product that simplifies payments for users. On the app, users can trade unused gift cards, buy international and local gift cards, pay bills, buy affordable gadgets, and get Virtual Dollar Cards both in Nigeria and Ghana.

“Not all heroes wear capes,” and that’s entirely true for Emmanuel. You’ll never catch him jumping rooftops, trying to save the day. His schedule is nothing out of the ordinary. Emmanuel’s typical day is a marathon, starting at 7 am and ending at about 2 am. Still, his favourite hours are 8 pm- 2 am.

This CEO, however, is not all about work because he understands the popular “All work and no play. . . “ saying. For fun, he loves to go to the gym, take walks, watch football (especially Arsenal matches) and The Morning Show.

In this interview with us, he reveals some interesting things about himself that give us a deeper dive into his life:

● What’s your go-to breakfast meal?

Emmanuel: “I rarely have breakfast. Fruits, if I do.”

● What’s the first app you check in the morning?

Emmanuel: “Slack, of course.”

● How do you unwind after a long day? Netflix, gaming, or something else?

Emmanuel: “I watch Football or episodes of The Morning Show. I rarely watch movies, except for ones that are intriguing from the beginning.”

● If you had an extra hour every day, what would you do with it?

Emmanuel: “I’d definitely write my Memoir.”

Even though he works from home most of the time, there are times when he has to go to the office. Juggling work while still being a super dad, a fantastic husband, and a trendsetter in shows that TTT has a superhero CEO.

As someone who thrives on excellence and is consistently giving value, Emmanuel serves as an inspiration and mentor to many people around him, including junior colleagues.
