A Uyo-based health advocacy and community outreach organization, Daily Life Savers International Foundation https://dailylifesavers.org/, has continued to expand its grassroots intervention programmes across several Nigerian states amid growing conversations around preventive healthcare and rural wellness support.
The organization, founded by Great George Otosin, combines humanitarian outreach initiatives with public awareness campaigns focused on water quality education, wellness advocacy, and community support services.
Founded in 2007 following what Otosin described as a personal experience with healthcare and financial hardship after the illness of his late father, the organization has evolved from a local outreach initiative into a wider community-based operation with activities extending beyond Akwa Ibom State.

According to the organization, its intervention programmes have reached communities in Cross River, Delta, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Kogi, and parts of Cameroon.
Its initiatives include borehole support projects, food distribution exercises, public enlightenment campaigns, accommodation support for vulnerable individuals, and rural health awareness programmes.
Speaking during a recent engagement in Uyo, Otosin said the organization’s long-term objective is to strengthen conversations around preventive healthcare and improve access to community wellness education in underserved areas.
“There is still a significant gap in health awareness and access to support systems in many rural communities. Our focus has been on advocacy, education, and intervention programmes that can contribute positively to local wellbeing,” he said.
The organization also operates through a business arm, Longevity Gold International, which distributes wellness-related products linked to hydration and nutritional support.
Industry observers say the increasing emergence of wellness-focused advocacy groups reflects broader shifts in Nigeria’s healthcare landscape, particularly in areas where communities often rely on alternative support systems due to limited healthcare infrastructure.
In addition to its outreach programmes, the organization says it has created employment opportunities through its operations and regional distribution activities.

Company representatives disclosed that operational activities currently support workers and volunteers across different states, while demand for its wellness products has contributed to expansion into locations including Lagos, Benin, Osun, Warri, and Port Harcourt.
Otosin, who is also involved in Christian ministry activities, has participated in public seminars and faith-based community programmes related to social welfare and health awareness.
He has received recognition from community associations, traditional institutions, and advocacy groups for humanitarian and rural development initiatives.
Analysts, however, note that health-related claims associated with alternative wellness advocacy require verification through recognized scientific and medical institutions in line with public health standards.
Stakeholders in the nonprofit and healthcare sectors say sustained visibility through community interventions, partnerships, and independent assessments will be important in determining the long-term impact of grassroots wellness organizations operating in Nigeria. https://dailylifesavers.org/
