Dash MFB Launches Simpler Way to Request And Receive Money

Dash Microfinance Bank has announced the launch of Dash Pay for Me, an innovative new feature on the Dash app designed to simplify how users request and receive money.

According to the bank, the feature allows users to send direct money requests to anyone, for any reason, with funds landing instantly into their Dash account upon approval.

The bank noted that the feature is part of the Dash V2 product suite, a wider rollout of next-generation tools engineered to make every day financial transactions faster, smoother, and less stressful for Nigerians.

Commenting on the launch, Rotimi Awofisibe, Managing Director/CEO of Dash Microfinance Bank, highlighted how the feature addresses a deeply rooted social and financial habit:

“Nigerians request money from each other every single day, but the process has always come with some friction. With Dash Pay for Me, we are removing that friction entirely. It is a simple idea built around how people actually live and interact: quick, clear requests and fast payments, with no long explanations needed.”

Awofisibe emphasized that solving everyday problems is at the heart of the new Dash app upgrade.

“Asking for money is one of those small but constant frictions in daily life; whether you are splitting a bill, contributing to a group gift, getting paid back by a friend, or asking family for support,” Awofisibe explained. “The usual process involves sending long account details, explaining what the money is for, and constantly checking to confirm if the payment has landed.”

Awofisibe encouraged Nigerians to take advantage of the new seamless experience, confirming that Dash Pay for Me is available now to all users as part of the Dash V2 product suite, noting that the Dash app is now available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Beyond Dash Pay for Me, Dash Microfinance Bank has also introduced a range of new features as part of the Dash V2 product suite to make everyday banking even more convenient. Users can now schedule one-time or recurring payments for transfers, bills, and other transactions, with reminders sent before each payment is processed and the flexibility to edit or cancel payments at any time. The app also now includes Payment Categories, allowing users to tag transactions, track spending patterns through visual insights, set spending limits for different categories, and receive notifications as they approach those limits, helping them manage their finances more effectively.
