Currenzo Nigeria Limited, the Nigerian subsidiary of Africhange, has been officially certified as a Great Place To Work®, recognizing the high-trust workplace culture that powers one of Africa’s leading cross-border payments brands.
The globally recognized certification is based entirely on confidential employee feedback and celebrates organizations that consistently create workplaces built on trust, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.
For Africhange, the recognition affirms a belief that exceptional customer experiences begin with exceptional employee experiences. Behind every transfer, product launch, and customer interaction is a team working in an environment intentionally designed to help people thrive.
“This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes directly from our people,” said David Ajala, Founder/CEO at Africhange. “While the certification was awarded to Currenzo Nigeria Limited, it reflects the culture behind the Africhange brand. We’ve always believed that when people feel trusted, respected, and empowered, they build better products, serve customers better, and create lasting impact.”
The employee survey revealed exceptionally strong results across key dimensions of workplace culture:
- Justice — 96%. Every employee surveyed (100%) said they are treated fairly regardless of race or gender, while 97% said they are treated fairly regardless of age. Eighty-eight percent said they would receive a fair hearing if they ever felt unfairly treated.
- Camaraderie — 94%. Ninety-seven percent of employees said they were made to feel welcome when they joined the company, while the same percentage said colleagues celebrate special events together. Ninety-five percent agreed that people genuinely care about one another.
- Team — 93%. Ninety-five percent of employees said they are proud of what their team accomplishes together, and an equal percentage said colleagues willingly go the extra mile to get the job done.
- Competence — 91%. Ninety-eight percent of employees expressed confidence in management’s ability to run the business effectively, while 97% said leadership does an excellent job assigning and coordinating people across the organisation.
As Africhange continues to expand across markets and connect Africans with faster, more affordable international money transfers, the company remains committed to building a culture where talented people can do their best work.
The company views this recognition not as a finish line, but as a milestone in its ongoing commitment to investing in its people, strengthening its culture, and building an organization capable of delivering exceptional experiences for customers around the world.
