Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, and Minister of FCT, Mohammad Musa Bello have converged on Kaduna State to meet with governors and traditional rulers to deliberate on various issues especially as it affects peace, security and other developmental issues in the region.
The meeting which commenced behind closed doors has the governors of Gombe, Nasarawa, Jigawa, Sokoto, Kaduna, Zamfara, Niger and the deputy governors of Katsina, Kogi, among other deputies in attendance.

Also present at the meeting are Senate President Ahmad Lawal, Saad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto, and Mohammed Adamu, inspector general of police.
Some members of the Senate and House of Representatives, as well as chairmen of Council of Chiefs of each state of the Northern region are also in attendance.
Meanwhile, the inspector general of police is expected to brief the meeting on effort to contain the current security challenges and issues arising from the #EndSARS protest in the north and the country in general.
