Something new is happening in the world of consumers residing in Festac Town, Lagos, with the recent opening of Domino’s Pizza and Cold Stone Creamy.

The international franchise of ‘Eat n Go’ has added Festival Town to its map by opening a branch at 1st Avenue Festac Town. The franchise ‘Eat n Go,’ having over six stores in Lagos in addition to the Festac branch that just opened, also has a branch in Ibadan and Enugu.

Dominos Pizza was awarded the most coveted eatery at the Gold Franny Award this year, which is the most prestigious award a franchise can achieve in recognition of performance, standard of quality, service and safety.

Antoinne Zammarieh, managing director, ‘Eat n Go,’ the master franchisee of Domino’s Pizza and Cold Stone ice-cream, said “they are thrilled to open a new outlet in Festac. Since we don’t have any such outlet here. We wanted to bring international brand here; also to be recognised in all the communities and Festac shouldn’t have been left alone without being represented there.

“As you can see, the turnout is large and excellent because on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this store is busy and we wanted it to be like that and the people are responding to it. We give them what they expect and that’s: good services, quality products, fun and entertainment, and that is what we are offering. We are also spreading our stores and there is one coming soon in Surulere, Bodija Ibadan and Ajao Estate, all are before the end of the year 2014 and 2015.”

At the event, the staff of Cold Stone ice-cream put up a show by displaying their talents of singing and dancing with rhymes related with their products, and off course they pulled different stunts to joggle with scopes of ice-cream that thrilled the audiences.

The Domino’s Pizza staff was not left out as they chanted their songs, sang and danced too, but they proved to be more skilful in the kitchen than on stage because their various display of nice pizzas for the guest were not disappointing, as every bite was a delicious experience for everyone.

Coordinator for Domino’s Pizza Nigeria, Ufuoma Ogeleke, said: “Honestly, Domino’s Pizza is for every Nigerian, so getting to Festac is just in line with what we want to do so that we ensure that every Nigerian has access to quality service, quality products and basically a spot to enjoy yourself with your family, friends and loved ones while you have a very decent and a high quality meal.

“There is always something nice with Domino’s, we just finished a buy-one get-one free promotion, an appreciating our customers appreciated. There is also something for Independence Day; basically, it is come celebrate Nigeria with Domino’s so with every pizza purchase you get a free drink on the house. There will also be a lot of things in our pipeline, every week, every month, just keep following the brand, follow us on: Facebook, Twitter and we would always communicate.”

The opening ceremony was anchored by a Cool FM OAP, who entertained guests with her funny remarks. Different flavours of pizza were served plus Bailey’s signature ice-cream for everyone, also Coca Cola and Guinness products were made available for everyone to share in the celebration.

A pleased customer – Valentine Emmanuel – said he was delighted that Domino’s Pizza was now in Festac. “I don’t have to wait until I get to the Island to have a nice pizza, and the good part is they deliver for free to my house. So, what more can I ask for, well maybe more discount and freebies offers,” he laughs, “we all like better things,” he said.
