Oil firm donates furniture, equipment to school

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Integrated Data Services Limited (IDSL) has donated school furniture and science laboratory equipment to Oba Ewuare Grammar School located at Oko community in Benin, Edo State.

Dawha Joseph, the managing director of the oil firm, a subsidiary of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said over the last few years the management has provided various forms of assistance to both the secondary and primary schools located in the same community.

Joseph listed the help so far extended to schools to include construction of a set of fully furnished classroom blocks, donation of over 100 desks and chairs and science laboratory equipments.

Others are the support of the secondary school with National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in the core science subjects such as Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics among others in order to enhance the quality of science students the school produces.

Joseph reiterated the firm’s desire to continuously support public schools in the community as well as complement the efforts of Edo government in providing infrastructure for schools.
