The Ogun House of Assembly on Thursday approved Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s proposal to borrow N16.6 billion from Ecobank Nigeria and Guaranty Trust Bank Plc for infrastructure and counterpart funding for educational projects.
Breakdown of the amount shows N15 billion for infrastructure finance and N1.6 billion counterpart funding for the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) project across the state.
Amosun had on March 16 sought House approval to borrow N16.6 billion from the banks to finance government projects and education counterpart fund.
