In an effort to sharpen the creative thoughts and talents of Nigerian children of different ages, Digital Satellite Television (DSTV), a brand under Mult iChoice Nigeria will be launching the Dstv Fan Club come July 2013.

Mayo Okunola, general manager, Multi Choice Nigeria said that as a company that has been around for 20 years, the launch of the fan club is significant because it recognises the important role that children play in the society.

Okunola who was speaking at the Dstv organised Children’s Day party in Lagos recently disclosed that registered members have opportunity to express themselves and to show case their talents.

He pointed out that the Dstv Club is a great achievement noting that ideas like this takes time and that understanding the roles that children play in the house is very important.

On the significance of the Children’s Day party, the general manager said Children’s Day is about recognising the plight of children, adding that Dstv as a brand takes this very seriously by making people aware of this through various programmes.

He further noted that the company equally organised four Children’s Day events across other zones of the country. “We are a national brand and we recognise the role of children all over the country” he said.
