A lot of people involved in business see business as being only physical and has no iota of spirituality. For them, such an idea or notion is a fallacy.
Can anyone/anybody blame them? Of course not! All their lives, the process, procedure and activities that gave birth to that business are physical.
They have always interacted with physical people that have flesh and blood, their day to day activities revolve around what you can call Physical (ity).
The business is so physical that you can never recognise or associate any form of spirituality to it. Physical Customers, Physical Cash, Tangible (Physical) Office.
All of these would make it truly difficult for anybody to even think Business is Spiritual.
To adequately understand this, we must return back to the beginning, though our birth is physical, our conception is spiritual. What we do, how we do what we do is physical but the life inside of us is Spiritual.
If it is true that our conception is spiritual, it means that the source of our life is spiritual. The ideas, thoughts, behaviours that supersede the birth of any business have their origin in Spirituality. For you to recognise an idea or concept it has to be birthed otherwise, it remains in the realm where it emanates – spiritual realm.
Every time we fail to walk in the light of this truth, it is not likely we would make good success of our endeavors (business).
As a believer, it is this understanding and its application that is your advantage in the market place aside what you can relate to as physical.
At times, we have allowed ourselves to be deceived that because others that are in business do not call the name of our God it means they are not spiritual. What a fallacy! Let me explode the bomb in your face right here, they may be more spiritual than you are!
They are more in tune with what is happening in the realm of the spirit than you are. Their godfathers are either tucked in one village or the other; they traverse mountains and hills in the dead of the night.
They are usually found in one fraternity or the other; they have dues they pay for appeasement.
I wonder who they are appeasing.
“Scriptures says that my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”, little wonder why we have never commanded as much result as the people of old, even though theirs was a fading glory.
Abraham became so wealthy because of his allegiance, association with the God of all Spirituality and it was recorded that he was rich in gold, silver, cattle, etc.
Isaac received instruction from the realm of the Spirit and he sowed in the land that same year he reaped an hundred fold.
Jacob was consigned to a life of slavery for the rest of his life until Spiritual insight brought about his deliverance from the hands of Laban his father-in-law.
What can we say about Joseph? His destiny was dead on arrival, perfectly orchestrated to die a prisoner until the power of the Spirit delivered and lifted him far above his enemies.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were fugitives in another man’s land; their mainstay was the power of the Spirit. Who would have believed that a 17-year-old teenager on a suicide mission would achieve the unthinkable, and yet he resolved national problem through the agency of the power of the Spirit?
If anything about what the scripture says about men and women that waxed valiantly during their time is worth going by, then we set ourselves up for a huge fail/fall in the market place if we do less.
Scriptures say that the people that would reign, rule or overcome are people who know who their God is. They know that their God is the source of their strength in the market place.
Their reliance, trust, hope, and help come from Him; there is that understanding that without the God of the realm of the Spirit their Apollo can water, their Paul can plant but all is equal to zero as no one can give the necessary increase.
Until we come to the realisation of the role that Spirituality plays both in our lives and in the market place, we are likely going to perform less than we are destined to and we would not be able to make impact for the kingdom of God.
Allow the power of the Spirit to help you so that your name can be written on the sands of time.
