For prospective home buyers looking for an upscale yet affordable residence in a cozy, serene environment, where the owner of the universe and the fullness thereof also resides and watches over his flock, The Good Shepherd Estate is the destination.

The estate, being promoted by The Apostolic Church, Nigeria, Lawna Territory, is a residential scheme comprising 12 units of four-bedroom houses and 58 units of four-bedroom terrace houses, giving a total of 70 housing units.

The estate which sits on 5.682 acres of land near The Apostilc Estate in Ketu, Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, promises common facilities, infrastructure and amenities to be provided according to its design and layout as approved by both the church and the Lagos State government.

Its major attraction is the location and well laid out plots. It is just five minutes drive to Lagos State secretariat and the Ikeja Central Business District (CBD); about 15 minutes drive to Mohammed International Airport; and 25 minutes drive from the business communities of Victoria Island and Ikoyi.

Gabriel Oladele Olutola, the National President and Chairman of Lawna Territory of the Apostolic Church Nigeria, who performed the ground breaking on behalf of the Lawna General Council to commence construction on the estate, said the project was an act of God.

“This estate is being built when it pleases the Lord. God does what he does when it pleases him to do it. And when it pleases the Lord, there will be no hindrances because He is the rightful owner of the universe and the fullness thereof”, the president said in veiled reference to alleged encroachment on the land by speculators.

The estate offers a safe, secure and serene environment for top notch family living, and promises facilities such as 24-hours power supply, central waste disposal system, CCTV camera,24 hours security service, constant water supply, recreational facilities and fitness centre etc.

In an interview with journalists at the event, the developer, Sesan Obe—the MD/CEO, SF Engineering Limited—assured that the project would be completed in 12 months beginning from the day documentation is completed with the Lagos State government.

“We are going to make the houses here as affordable as possible”, he said, disclosing that the target market for the estate was everybody, though the church members would be given priority.

Obe informed that interest in the estate, mostly from church members, was high, adding, “we are trying to introduce mortgage banks into the marketing of the estate and First Bank has shown interest to provide mortgage for buyers; the same First Bank is also financing the project”.

According to him, the estate which is estimated to cost over a billion naira to build, promises  such infrastructure as a perimeter fence, good and motor-able road network, good drainage system, gate house, street lightening, exotic landscaping, swimming pool, borehole and water storage facilities, ample parking spaces, and a mini mart.
