Developer sidesteps economic woes, upgrades school with facilities

Heritage Realtors, a frontline real estate developer with strong presence in Epe and Lekki Free Trade Zone corridor, has demonstrated uncommon resilience by upgrading a school with modern facilities amid Nigeria’s wobbling economy and its crippling impact.

The real estate firm believes in future leadership of Nigeria which is why it decided to invest in the renovation and upgrading of St. David’s Anglican Primary School library where these future leaders are incubated in preparation for future leadership.

To create a conducive environment for effective teaching and learning that will produce the leaders of tomorrow, the company has replaced the old and worn-out benches in the school with modern and comfortable chairs and tables.

It has also installed window blinds, provided bookshelves; supplied over 500 books to the library; repainted the library and provided a computer also for the library.

This computer, the company says, is the first official computer in the school that has over 350 students. “We are going ahead to help support with the provision of four more teachers and a solar panel to ensure that there is constant electricity supply for powering the computer; this would ensure our purpose of donating the computer is not defeated,” the firm assured.

It stated that everyone and every organization has a responsibility to give back to the society, pointing out that the growth of Nigeria cannot be left solely in the hands of the government as it is a collective responsibility.

This explains why, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm known as Bargain Books, the company is passionate about being an agent of change that the Nigerian society needs.

Heritage Realtors also believes that one of the ways Nigeria’s problems can be tackled is by going back to the very root, that is, the leaders of tomorrow, to unweave the very dreary fabric of the society that has brought the country to its present sorry state.

“At Heritage Realtors, we have decided to stop complaining and be the change that our society needs; a beacon of hope in our own community and to shine our light so brightly that we bring and spread hope wherever we can rather than joining others to spread despair,” Olamide Adeleye, a director in the company, said at the weekend.

Adeleye argued that if citizens want a Nigeria with a bright future, that urge should start now and it should start with the youths, ensuring that they are well equipped to be visionary and thought-leaders.

“One of the greatest tragedies in our country today is the unfortunate visionless leadership that has blighted our nation. We must loosen the current fabric that our society is made of, wash it out thoroughly and weave a new fabric that will propel us into the future we so desire for Nigeria to be great again,” she advised.

As a property developer, Heritage Realtors has done some projects in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, including Heritage Brook, Heritage Fount and Bethuel Gardens. It has different projects in commercial and residential plots.

“Our estates are planned to be top-notch and fully serviced. Whenever you invest in any of our projects, you invest in the future of our country. Our project in the Epe area, right along the Epe-Itokin Expressway, is called the Deborah Circle,” Adeyele said.

She revealed that the company is currently running an Easter Promo, assuring that interested buyers can gain 10 percent on all their projects when they subscribe now, taking advantage of the promo.
