Why Atiku remains best man to lead Nigeria- support group

A support group, ‘Atikutified’ has said that former vice president of Nigeria and presidential candidate of the main opposition, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar’s, deep knowledge of the economy, promise to restructure the country and vast political experience qualify him has the best man to lead the country out of its current woes.

Founder and National coordinator of Atikufied support group, Stella Njideka Ezeh, stated this in Lagos during the group’s awareness summit held at C –Courtesy Garden, Festac, in Lagos. She noted that Atiku’s blueprint to diversify and reform the economy, invest in education and revamp the railway system would transform the country, if he is elected into office.

Ezeh added that Atiku’s choice of Peter Obi, who excelled as a businessman and the governor of Anambra state as his running mate was an indication of his belief in generational shift and purposeful leadership for the country.

“Atiku has been tested and trusted in critical areas of political leadership having been a vice president. If you look at his blue print, you will notice that it’s aimed at taking Nigeria out of the doldrums. His choice of Peter Obi, who is a successful businessman is laudable. Obi’s zero corruption record as governor is yet to be beaten.”

Also speaking at the summit, Lagos State coordinator of the group, Paulinus Uche, said that the group had members and chapters across the 20 local government areas of the state, promising that the group would give four million votes in the state towards Atiku’s electoral success.

“Atikufied support group has come to stay in Lagos State, our voice must be heard, and we are committed to giving four million votes in Lagos towards Atiku’s victory in next year’s election.

“Nigerians are desirous of change and you can see we have members across the twenty local government areas in the state that are passionate about Atiku’s candidacy,” Uche added.

Legal adviser of the group, Angela Oamhen, said members of the group across the state were ready to use their personal resources to campaign towards the emergency of Atiku as the president of Nigeria.
