We’re not intimidated by PDP – Labour Party candidate

Disquiet in PDP over ‘Housing Allowance’

Nella Andem Rabana, the deputy gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party, has said that she and Fidelis Ugbo, the gubernatorial candidate, were not intimidated by the People’s Democratic Party in the forthcoming governorship election and are doing everything to win. Ewa Rabana, who stated this when she and Ugbo visited Professor Kelvin Etta, the former vice-chancellor of the University of Calabar and the Cross River State University of Technology on his return from India for a backbone surgical operation, said while the PDP is using salaries of workers and government funds to buy rice and magi to distribute to voters, they are being strategic in their campaign.

“We have experience, skill and are being strategic in our campaign; with our vast knowledge of the state, we know the needs of our people and also know how to address these needs so we assure that when we roll out our campaign, the people will hear us and know the difference we can make”. She said a campaign team comprising egg heads and people with high political network has been put in place to ensure that the right thing is done to achieve victory for them.

“We are not competing with the PDP in the distribution of money and rice because it is people’s salaries that are being used but we are coming with conviction, we are coming with the truth and we are saying that nobody’s labour should be in vain- essentially we have our own strategy which is far reaching and capable of reigning in victory for us,” she said. She said the election is not all about money or about the distribution of rice which the people are made to dance in the sun to get but about strategic planning and she and her principal are doing their best to win the election.
