President Muhammmadu Buhari has declared that the “ Change” agenda of the current administration “ remains unshaken” and “ on course”
This is just as the President said the administration’s efforts will continues until Nigeria is returned on track to assume its rightful place among the comity of nations.
Buhari stated this while inaugurating Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team’’, at the banquet hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, urging them to reach out to all Nigerians door-to-door and remind them why his administration should be returned to power in 2019.
He noted that the dream to sustain CHANGE is so that all systemic distortions in the country can be corrected
The President while positing that Nigerians can enjoy “the fruits of being Nigerians under the banner of freedom” said “it is also our hope that our unborn children will inherit a better nation.
The President also used the opportunity to admonish his supporters not be distracted, adding that “our country is on course”
The Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team was constituted as part of plans to support the Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, chaired by the President himself.
He noted that the involvement of the women and youths is an indication of the importance the party place on the role of women and youths as the backbone of the Nigerian electorate.
He therefore, urged them to “ be the drivers of the campaigns as major beneficiaries of the current administration’s programs
“In carrying out this assignment, I expect from members of this team the same loyalty and support which you exhibited in 2015. Let us remind Nigerians about our plans, our good work and achievements: Tell the people why they should give us another four years” he said
Buhari also used the opportunity to commend the party men and women for their unwavering support and commitment, and called on them to “redouble their efforts and re-elect us in February, so that they can witness the next level of CHANGE.”
The team which will be co-chaired by Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari and wife of the Vice President, Oludolapo Osinbajo, has notable Nigerians including wives of All Progressive Congress APC, Governors.
