Tinubu meets Labour, Progressive Governors

President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with the Progressive Governors Forum, as well as former government officials, in a meeting expected to be attended by the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress.

The NLC leaders had met privately with the president before the meeting.

Details of their meeting with the president were not available at the time of filing these reports.

BusinessDay Villa sources, however, said the meeting may not be unconnected with the NLC stands of the recent Executive Order 9, as well as calls for the reversal of the power sector sale of 2014.

The Progressive Congress Renewed Hope Ambassadors meeting, earlier scheduled for 11 am, was pushed to 2 pm to allow the president to meet separately with the NLC officials

The NLC leaders are, however, expected to make a presentation at the Renewed Hope Ambassadors summit.
