President Bola Tinubu has brokered peace between Rivers state Governor Sim Fubara and the Minister of Federal Capital Territory FCT,
At the meeting 44 by stakeholders on Monday both parties agreed to end all matters instituted in the courts by the Governor Of Rivers state, Fubara, and his team, in respect of the political crisis in Rivers State, shall be withdrawn immediately.
The meeting also agreed that the impeachment proceedings initiated against the Governor of Rivers State by the Rivers State House of Assembly should be dropped immediately.
This was contained in the eight point resolution adopted by the parties to the disputes.
The meeting also agreed to recognize the leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly as led by the Martin Amaewhule, alongside the 27 members who resigned from the PDP.
It was also agreed that remuneration and benefits of all members of the Rivers State House of Assembly and their staff be reinstated immediately, while the Governor of Rivers State shall henceforth not interfere with the full funding of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Others include that ” the Rivers State House of Assembly shall choose where they want to sit and conduct their legislative business without interreference and/or hindrance from the Executive arm of government.

The Governor of Rivers State, Sim Fubara, was also asked to re-present the state budget to a properly constituted Rivers State House of Assembly.
” The names of all commissioners in the Rivers State Executive Council who resigned their appointments because of the political crisis in the state should be resubmitted to the House of Assembly for approval,” it was concluded at the meeting.
“There should not be a caretaker committee for the local governments in Rivers State.
“The dissolution of the Local Government administration is null and void and shall not be recognized.”

The meeting which was attended by Fubara and his deputy, also was joined midway, by Nyesom Wike
The meeting was also attended by former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili and other stakeholders.
