The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and its candidate, Umar Ardo, in the Adamawa governorship election.
Ardo’s counsel requested the court withdraw the case, and subsequently, the five-member panel, led by John Okoro, dismissed the appeal.
Earlier, the Court of Appeal in Abuja and the tribunal had already dismissed Ardo’s petition challenging Ahmadu Fintiri’s victory.
Meanwhile, Fintiri faces an ongoing challenge from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Aishatu Dahiru, who is seeking to be declared the governor of the state.
