Service Chiefs meet President’s Chief of Staff

Regional leaders ask Buhari to reverse NESREA executive appointment

Service Chiefs were on Thursday sighted at the Presidential Villa, Abuja but could not meet with President Muhammadu Buhari

Businessday sources at the Presidential Villa revealed that they only stopped at the office of the Aide -De -Camp to the President and later proceeded to meet with the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.

The meeting with the President’s Chief of Staff lasted for less than 15 minutes after which they all left for their offices.

Details of their discussions were not immediately available as at the time this report was being filed.

Many Nigerians believe that the current Service Chiefs who were appointed in July, 2015 should have been removed by now, as many have overstayed the mandatory retirement age.

Gabriel Olanishaki who is the Chief is Defense Staff has had his appointment renewed twice, since he was first appointed in July 2015.

The appointment of Service Chiefs under the Previous administration lasted for a term of two years.

The Chief of Defense Staff has also been in Service since 1979.
