The reinstated local government chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, at his residence in Iragbiji on Easter Monday.

In a statement signed by Bola Akinola, Media and Communications Adviser to the Minister, noted that the delegation, led by the Chairman of the Osun State chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Abiodun Idowu, expressed their gratitude to the Minister for his unwavering support throughout their political journey and reinstatement.

The chairmen acknowledged the Minister’s key role in advocating for grassroots leadership and commended his commitment to strengthening local governance.

In his remarks, Oyetola, who described the visit as a symbolic and meaningful gesture, reiterated his dedication to supporting inclusive governance and democratic principles that drive progress across Osun State.

He said, “This visit was both symbolic and meaningful. It reaffirmed the strength of our connection to grassroots leadership and our shared commitment to the progress of Osun State.

“I remain steadfast in my belief that true development begins at the local level, and I will continue to support efforts that promote inclusive governance and democratic values.”

The statement further stated that continuing in the spirit of Easter and political camaraderie, Oyetola on Tuesday also visited former Osun State Governor and APC national leader, Bisi Akande, at his residence in Ila, Osun State.

During the visit, Oyetola exchanged Easter greetings with Akande and engaged in meaningful discussions centered on national development, party unity, and the principles of leadership.

He commended Akande for his dedication to public service, highlighting his legacy as a pillar of progressive politics and a beacon of democratic ideals in Nigeria.
