Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Wase LGA of Plateau State have applauded the recent directives by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to State Governors to ensure rancour-free primary elections into elective positions across the country.

The stakeholders made this known in Wase during the presentation of APC expression of interest and nomination forms to Idris Wase, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives to enable him seek a sixth term in office.

BusinessDay reports that the expression of interest and nomination forms was purchased through crowdfunding by Wase Equity Project (WEP).

Hassan Garba, the Chairman of the group while speaking during the presentation of the forms to APC LGA party officials said the directive by President Tinubu is a signal towards achieving unity of purpose within the party.

According to him, Leadership is measured not by words alone, but by visible achievements, courage in difficult times, and commitment to the welfare of the people .

He insisted that Wase has consistently demonstrated these qualities through impactful representation, strategic leadership and deep love for the people of the constituency

Also speaking, Ibrahim Galadima, the member representing Wase State Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly pointed out that the track record of the former Deputy Speaker has endeared him to the people, hence the decision by the Wase Equity Project to encourage him to seek re-election to the hallowed chambers for the 6th time.

He appealed to the great people of Wase Local Government and the leadership of APC to once again entrust the former deputy Speaker with the mandate to continue serving the people come 2027.

The group had earlier presented the forms to Rufus Bature, the State APC chairman and his executives for blessing

Bature at the event insisted that Wase has done quite a lot for Plateau state and Nigeria as a whole adding that there is every needs for him to be reelected again to enable him continue the good work he has been doing.
