PDP govs appoint Abia governor, Ikpeazu as Forum Vice Chairman

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors’ forum has appointed Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu as Vice Chairman of the Forum.

This was the outcome of a crucial meeting of the governors which was held in Abuja on Wednesday.

The meeting was held at the Sokoto Governor’s lodge, Asokoro.

Top on the issues, it was gathered, was the verdict of the Supreme Court on the Imo state governorship election.

The PDP is calling on the Supreme Court to review the judgement and also reverse it.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal simply said the meeting discussed very crucial issues.

“At the meeting, colleagues unanimously appointed Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as the Vice Chairman of the forum,” said Tambuwal.

Governors including Udom Emmanuel, Okezie Ikpeazu, Duoye Diri,
Ifeanyi Okowa, Bala Muhammed, Darius Ishaku, Adamu Fintiri and Aminu Tambuwal, of Akwa Ibom, Abia, Bayelsa, Delta, Bauchi, Taraba, Adamawa and Sokoto states attended the meeting.

Also, national chairman of PDP, Uche Secondus and National secretary, Senator Ibrahim Tsauri were in attendance respectively.
