Jennifer Ndubuisi, a 28 years old female aspirant has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Awgu North, constituency of Enugu State House of Assembly.
Ndubuisi initially won the primary election with 14 votes while her closest rival, Nwabisi James got 11 votes but she scored 16 votes in when the exercise was repeated due to earlier disagreement.
She promised to provide adequate representation, capacity building, attraction of government aids and incentives, employment opportunities to the youths, advocacy for young female politicians, skill acquisition programmes for her constituency if elected at the general polls.

Ndubuisi expressed profound gratitude to God and Ginika Tor, a commissioner in the Federal Character Commission, who did not only pay for her expression of interest form but sponsored her in the election process.
The House of Assembly hopeful through her spokesperson, Onyebuchi Dede, told journalists that her journey to the race was sustained by three days fasting organised by Omaluegwuoku Progressive Initiative, founded by Tor.
“I want to appreciate no other person but our humble leader, mentor and role model, Mrs Tor. Thank you for always standing up for women in Nigeria, speaking for us and making our voices heard. I will always stand and insist on inclusion of women and youths in Nigerian politics.
“Thank you for your financial support, love and kindness and standing up for women of Enugu state, allowing justice to reign, despite challenges, Women and youths of Enugu state are blessed and proud to have you,” she said.
