Siminalayi Fubara, the Rivers State governor has summoned a meeting with the members of the state executive council.
This comes after 27 of the 32-member House of Assembly defected from his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the opposition All Progressives Congress.
The defection followed political crisis in the state, in which the lawmakers made a failed attempt to impeach the governor a few weeks ago.
