Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has approved the appointment of Mohammed Goje as Acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG), with immediate effect.

The appointment was announced on Wednesday in a statement issued by Mamman Mohammed, Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor of Yobe State.

Goje replaces Baba Mallam Wali, who was endorsed as the APC’s preferred successor in the state’s 2027 governorship race.

Until his appointment, Goje served as Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).

Governor Buni charged the new appointee to rededicate his efforts to the service of the state and the welfare of the people.

The appointment takes immediate effect.
