The 9th Benue State House of Assembly which was innaugrated by the Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom last week Monday, today Thursday appionts it’s principal officers who will be anchoring the affairs of the house, which a 27 years old legislator from konshisha state constituency under African Democratic Congress ADC, Cephas Dyako emerged the minority whip of the 9th Assembly.
It could be recall that the Benue 9th Assembly last week Monday conducted elections that saw the member representing kyan constituency under People’s Democratic party PDP, Titus Uba as the speaker and Christopher Adaji of ohimini as the deputy speaker of the house.
The appointment of the principal officers was done during the plenary at the Benue State Assembly complex in Makurdi the state capital.
Member representing Gwer West state constituency under the rulling People’s Democratic Party PDP, Demian Cheme was made the majority Leader while member representing Tarkaa State constituency under All progressive Congress APC, Benjamin Ngutor emerged as the minority leader of the house.
Also, the house appionted a member representing Ukum state constituency under People’s Democratic party, Thomas Mlanga as their majority whip and member representing konshisha constituency under African Democratic Congress ADC, Dyako Tavershima as the minority whip with their deputies.
Interacting with the speaker of the house, Titus Uba after the plenary. The speaker congratulated the newly appointed principal officers of the 9th assembly and auged them to be deligent in exercising their deputies so as to enable the citizens of the state benefit dividence of Democracy.
