Enyinnaya Abaribe, Senate minority leader, maybe joining the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), where he is expected to pick the Abia South senatorial ticket.

Abaribe is expected to battle governor Okezie Ikpeazu for the senatorial seat of the constituency.

Two days ago, Abaribe had announced his withdrawal from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries, citing an imaginary delegate list and lack of transparency as reasons for his withdrawal.

Abaribe made the development public in two separate letters, one addressed to his ward chairman and the other to the senate president, Ahmad Lawan, dated May 24and 26, 2022 respectively.

He has equally resigned as the senate minority leader.

Meanwhile, the Abia South senatorial ticket was won by incumbent Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu following his triumph at the primary election of the PDP in the state.
