Preparations have been concluded for the submission of President Bola Tinubu’s expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary for the 2027 election.
The primary is slated for May 23, 2026.
Vice President Kashim Shettima is expected at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in the Garki area of Abuja for the formal submission of the forms.

Nentawe Yilwatda, the APC National Chairman, members of the National Working Committee (NWC), governors, ministers, lawmakers and other party stakeholders are already at the venue.
Party officials disclosed that Shettima’s arrival would mark the official commencement of the programme.
BusinessDay reports that James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives and longtime political ally of Tinubu, had earlier picked up the President’s nomination forms ahead of the contest.
